The progressive financial services company, which is taking 7,360 sq ft on the first and second floors, was particularly keen to secure space at Forbury Works due to its unique architectural styling and finishes, courtyard garden and concierge service.

Tom Fletcher, head of the Reading office for Lambert Smith Hampton, explains: “Forbury Works is a former newspaper and printing works and, whilst the original structure and period features are being retained, they will be complemented by a palette of materials, such as exposed brick, metal detailing and polished concrete, creating an aesthetic largely unseen in the Thames Valley. The result is six floors of unique open plan office space, offering a contemporary working environment for creative businesses.”

James Whitcher, of Boultbee Brooks, adds: “We enjoy creating distinctive work spaces and the extraordinarily high levels of interest we are receiving for Forbury, The White Building and Concordia Works, is testament to the success of this approach.”

The 19,900 sq ft building includes secure access control system, new passenger lifts, feature staircase, ceiling mounted heating/cooling VRF system, three super loos per floor, two shower rooms, bicycle store, new high performance double glazing throughout and LG7 compliant LED light fittings. The guiding rent is £35.00 per sq ft and 9,730 sq ft is currently available. Interest should be registered with Tom Fletcher
