Recruitment agencies
Our preferred supplier list policy
We operate a tightly controlled preferred supplier list (PSL) for all recruitment. We are unable to accept introductions from outside it and have no plans to review it.
We appreciate this may be disappointing. However, please email us if you would like to be considered in any review.
Note for Recruitment Agencies
Please note that if you have not been instructed by us on a vacancy, we will not be responsible for any fees in relation to CVs or profiles submitted by agencies directly to employees other than the Talent Acquisition team. Agencies should contact our Talent Acquisition (careers@lsh.co.uk) team before submitting unsolicited candidates - this must be done by email and if we are prepared to consider candidates, we will agree terms with the agency prior to any submission of CVs.
We have a Preferred Supplier List (PSL) we work with - this list is reviewed from time to time and if you wish to be considered at the next review, please submit your details to our Talent Acquisition team (careers@lsh.co.uk).
Agencies who do not work in line with these processes will not been considered for future inclusion on our PSL.

Placement year opportunities
APPLICATIONS FOR THE SUMMER 2022 PLACEMENT YEAR SCHEME WILL OPEN ON 1st OCTOBER and CLOSE ON 15th NOVEMBER 2021. Read on for details of eligibility and how to apply…
We offer a placement year scheme for university students who are looking to complete a year in industry (or a sandwich year) as part of their bachelor’s degree course.
Placement year students are recruited on a 12-month fixed term contract which usually starts in July/August each year and may include a handover period with any outgoing placement students.
Placement year students are treated just like any other employee. From day 1 you will become an integral part of the team and will be expected to contribute, getting involved in real instructions and project work from the get-go. You will of course be closely supervised and supported as you grow and develop with the team.
Our placement students do not rotate around different teams but are given 12 months solid experience in a single team to enable them to develop excellent knowledge.
At LSH your placement year can count towards your APC so you will register with the RICS so you can record your experience as you go. This means it may be possible for you to sit your APC and qualify as a Chartered surveyor after 12-18 months on a graduate scheme.
If you do really well, you might receive an early offer to come back and join us as a graduate once you have finished University. Just think of the potential!
THE LOWDOWN
As a placement year student, you can expect:
- 12 months practical, on-the-job experience which can count towards your APC, in a team used to hosting placement year students
- Involvement in real instructions for a wide range of clients and properties
- A dedicated APC counsellor
- Support from your line manager and team
- Access to our ‘Year 1’ APC training courses to support the development of your business/professional skills
- A warm welcome and the opportunity to immerse yourself in our early careers social scene
You will receive all this in an inclusive, supportive and fun environment and to top it all off you will be rewarded with a competitive salary.
