We have amalgamated our planning, development, and regeneration teams with its transport and infrastructure, compulsory purchase order (CPO) and public sector teams to create a new Planning, Regeneration and Infrastructure (PR+I) business.

Led by Dr Steven Norris (pictured below), the new multi-disciplinary division comprises a growing team of over 100 professionals, with a focus on the delivery of large-scale development, regeneration, and infrastructure projects. Richard O’Connell, who was previously national head of public sector – transportation and infrastructure, will become operations director for the combined business. The reshuffle has not involved any redundancies or reduction in headcount.

The move has been driven by opportunities presented by the Government’s Levelling Up agenda and planning reforms, and the need for even greater public-private sector collaboration to help deliver major new development and infrastructure projects, including residential development and town centre regeneration.

Dr Steven Norris, national head of PR+I at LSH, said: “Large-scale regeneration is a complex process that requires input from a broad range of consultancy functions at all stages of the development lifecycle. Bringing these all under one umbrella means the PR+I team can provide a more holistic approach, and allows us to draw on our depth of experience of advising both the public and private sectors on the delivery of successful, sustainable and commercially viable transformational projects.”

“Though public sector spending on regeneration is likely to outstrip that of the private sector over the next five years, the delivery of successful long-term projects will be increasingly dependent upon a blend of both public and private sector expertise, resources and investment. Our renewed proposition is centred on helping steer clients through the complex development and regeneration process.”

Our diverse mix of public and private sector clients include Nuveen, Babcock, abrdn, Legal & General, Thurrock Council, Lichfield District Council, LB Camden, LB Sutton, Hull City Council, Essex County Council, HS2, Ministry of Defence, NHS, Nationwide and Redrow.
