Leading property agents Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) have secured the letting of the ground floor suite, totalling 1,590 sq ft, at one of Bristol’s most iconic building’s; Vertigo, located on Cheese Lane in Bristol City Centre at a rent of £42,500 per annum.

The building is owned by the Workforce Development Trust who purchased the property in late 2019. With the previous tenants having moved out, the Workforce Development Trust now occupy the first and second floors of the building themselves.

The Workforce Development Trust, a not-for-profit organisation helping employers to cultivate their workforce through increasing productivity, improving learning supplies and helping to boost the skills of the UK’s employees, have carried out refurbishment works to the building which has also included the space at the top of the iconic shot tower in order to provide a unique meeting space.

The ground floor suite has been let to Boccard UK Ltd who have signed a 5 year lease for the space. Having reached the end of the lease at their existing space at Temple Studios, Boccard UK Ltd were attracted to the iconic building and the waterfront position.

Roxine Foster, Associate Director – Office Advisory at Lambert Smith Hampton said:

“Given the current uncertain market, it is great to have secured a tenant at the property within just 3 months of the space becoming available.”

“This shows that where high-quality space is provided there is good demand, and also demonstrates that the office work environment is not dead and occupiers do want to move back to the office.”

Charlotte Owen, at The Workforce Development Trust said:

Following our purchase of the building in 2019 we have carried out refurbishment works which have been completed to a high-quality and have allowed for our staff to move into the upper floors of the building. The ground floor space was surplus to our own requirement so we are delighted to have secured a tenant for that space”.

Douglas McQueen, Managing Director of Boccard UK, added:

“The location of the Vertigo office allows us to provide a great working environment for our staff and helps us to attract new employees. It was the speed and flexibility in the negotiation that was key to us”.
