Morrisons close to distribution deal with Ocado

Sources say supermarket chain Morrisons is close to a distribution deal with Ocado, the online supermarket. It is likely to be a joint venture deal and will not involve Morrisons taking a stake in Ocado or acquiring the firm. The plan would see Ocado use its new warehouse in Dordon to provide Morrisons' home shopping service.

A contract has been signed between Clipper Logistics and Morrisons, a supermarket chain, for the distribution of the March-launched Nutmeg clothing range. For this, Clipper is using a site in Leeds. Tesco to add third One Stop depot in Wakefield

UK supermarket retailer Tesco is to add a third depot for its One Stop convenience store chain, which will be located in Wakefield in West Yorkshire. The depot, which will cover an area of 120,000 sq ft, will initially supply 200 of the stores in the north of England, but this number will rise to around 500 over time.
