Caversham Park: starting the next chapter

Disposal of Grade II listed building on behalf of the BBC

Find out more
Since 1943, Caversham House, a sprawling Grade II listed stately home has been the home where the BBC has listened to some of the world’s most seismic news events. Staffed by journalists, academics and translators, news was summarised from 150 countries in 100 different languages for BBC News.

The site was identified for disposal and we were appointed to develop a number of disposal options and test these with the local planning authority.  We created an innovative digital marketing strategy for prospective bidders, led the bid evaluation process and identified the preferred bidder.
