The Early Careers Foundation is a social mobility charity, aimed at breaking the cycle of socio-economic inequality in the UK, by preparing young people from low-income backgrounds for the workplace so they can access great first careers.

This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to delivering positive social impact across our operations, and making a real difference to the communities that we operate in.

As part of our involvement, volunteers from across the business will offer mentoring support via the charity’s Self-Discovery and Career Readiness learning programmes. So far, we have seen over 70 volunteers come forward to support the programme from across the business, the largest contribution from a company of our size the charity has seen this academic year. Each volunteer will commit to meeting a student from a partner school virtually for one hour per month.

Leah Jones, Foundation Director from the Early Careers Foundation commented:

“We're delighted to have partnered with LSH, who have been one of our biggest supporters this year!

The enthusiasm from their employees all across the business, from senior managers to placement students, to share their knowledge and career experience has been invigorating. We're very grateful for their time and can't wait to see the impact that they have on our beneficiaries confidence and ambition this year."

Mark Winsor, our Talent and Development Manager, added:

“Against a backdrop of outdated careers guidance and a lack of connections, it can be tough for many talented young people to get the first job they deserve. That is why the work The Early Careers Foundation does is so vital. I am excited to see the positive impact our volunteers will have over the coming months, as they help to build confidence, develop employability skills, and offer invaluable professional guidance.”
