Our Planning, Development & Regeneration team has been appointed by Thurrock Council to help deliver a £6 billion regeneration and housing development programme across South Essex.

The commissioning partner contract will see the team to provide project and programme management resources across multiple development schemes, as well as additional planning, acquisitions, disposals, quantity surveying and building surveying services.

Neil Parlett, Director of Planning, Development and Regeneration at LSH, said:

“We are enormously pleased to be developing a deeper and more extensive partnership with Thurrock Council. We have a long-standing relationship and look forward to working alongside colleagues in the council to deliver its strategic priorities”.

“With pressure on local authorities to quickly deliver new housing, employment, community and infrastructure schemes there is an onus on finding innovative approaches to working collaboratively. Our team has a broad range of experience in working with the public sector – we are currently advising more than 300 councils across a range of disciplines. We will draw on these capabilities to work alongside Thurrock Council to deliver on its development objectives.”

Councillor Mark Coxshall, Thurrock Council’s Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Strategic Planning, said:

“Thurrock has some very exciting regeneration and housing programmes to deliver and it is important that the council can provide the right level of resource to be able to successfully deliver our key development programmes. I’m pleased that we have found an innovative way of bringing in Lambert Smith Hampton and we look forward to working with them and drawing on their experience to help to deliver key parts of our regeneration programme at the same time as providing value for money for the council and our residents.”
