Last month, 13 teams from across the Commercial and Residential Property Management division competed in LSH’s first ever ‘Bikes, Boats & Boots’ event, which involved a series of gruelling triathlon style contests in the Lake District, including a 10 mile cycle around Lake Ullswater, a rafted 2-canoe course and a circular hike to the spectacular Helvellyn summit.

The collective total raised for Mind, one of LSH’s official charity partners, has come in at a whopping £11,918.44 – nearly double the original fundraising target of £6,000. All fundraising went directly to the charity, largely helped by contributions from LSH and Locktons, the insurance broker and the event's main sponsor, who paid to host the challenge.

Commenting, Paul Brooks, Managing Director - Investment, Property & Asset Management at LSH said:

“We had a truly fantastic response to our first ever ‘Bikes, Boats & Boots’ event, which saw our national Property Management team come together, have terrific fun and take part in some serious sporting challenges.  We are delighted to have exceeded our fundraising target and this will go a long way to support Mind, who do an incredible job in helping people who experience mental health problems. One in four of us this year will experience a mental health issue and we are incredibly proud to be able to support such an important charity.”
