Guy Gilfillan, Regional Divisional Director of Office Agency in the north, has been voted Property Personality of the Year by his peers at Yorkshire Business Insider’s annual South Yorkshire Property Awards.

Announced at a ceremony held on 4 July 2013 at Mercure St Paul’s Hotel, Sheffield, Guy was described as ‘a fierce advocate not just for Sheffield but the whole of Yorkshire’ and ‘a trusted source of expertise, where his popularity across Yorkshire is testament to his continuing success as the figurehead of one of our most dynamic commercial property agencies.’

The short-list for the awards was announced in May with the winner selected via a text vote by attendees on the night.

Guy said: “I am absolutely honoured to be recognised for my work in the property sector across Yorkshire. I do believe in our region and I am confident that there is a brighter future ahead.

“That said, I cannot take all he credit. I am supported by some of the most talented and dedicated individuals at LSH and I think this recognition serves to shine a light on the quality of our organisation as a whole.”

Sale of Evolution business park wins Property Deal of the Year

LSH was also recognised indirectly for its involvement in the sale of Evolution business Park by UK Strategic Partnership – a joint venture between Harworth Estates and Strategic Sites - to Cornerstone, which won Property Deal of the Year. The team acted on behalf of Harworth Estates on the sale of the entire 950,000 sq ft industrial facility and secured Cornerstone as a buyer, who purchased the site on behalf of a pension fund client for £7.2m.
