Caffè Nero opens at BBC Broadcasting House, London

Caffè Nero Group Ltd has opened a branch at BBC Broadcasting House, Portland Place, in Central London. The Italian-style coffee shop chain occupies a prominent 1,200 sq ft retail unit on the ground floor.

Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) acted on the BBC’s behalf to agree a 10-year lease. Broadcasting House has undergone a £1bn redevelopment, with over 6,000 staff migrating to the new building. Caffè Nero is open to the public and BBC staff.

Iconic building in Central London

Mark Painter, Director of Retail Agency at LSH, said: “The BBC was keen to ensure a well-matched tenant was secured, that was both a high quality and flexible operator. Broadcasting House is an iconic building and the focal point of the BBC in Central London.
