Heathrow's largest pre-let signed

Find out more

Acting on behalf of dnata, our Transport and Industrial & Logistics teams have agreed the acquisition of two warehouses totalling 141,500 sq ft at Heathrow.

dnata, a leading global air services provider, has signed a pre-let agreement committing to take two premium cargo warehouse hubs on Northumberland Close, where it will service its international carriers.

The new scheme is near to dnata’s existing facilities, and marks Heathrow’s largest ‘off-airport’ pre-let to a cargo and aviation-related operator in the last 10 years.

Largest off-airport pre-let for 10 years

The former Blackburn & Court Farm Estate sits opposite the Heathrow Cargo Terminal and British Airways World Cargo Centre. dnata’s acquisition will be the first phase of the site’s development and, subject to planning, works should begin later this year.

Our Building Consultancy team is currently working on the specification of the scheme, and will also monitor construction of the build.

The deal has been signed with SWIP (Scottish Widows Investment Partnership), through its Airport Industrial Property Unit Trust (AIPUT) – a specialist owner and manager of airport-related industrial warehouses.

Deal marks step change in dnata's UK cargo capacity

Paul Cole, Interim Chief Executive Officer at dnata UK, commented: “This investment marks a step change in dnata’s cargo capacity in the UK market. Our willingness to invest in new facilities is a sign of our commitment to London Heathrow Airport, and will be the vehicle for our future growth in this important market.”

Timelapse video

Since the start of the project, we have helped set up a timelapse video showing demolition and the start of the construction works. This video will continue through to practical completion.
