WHAT’S SO GRAD ABOUT US?
We’re proud of our market leading training and development record, and rightly so. On average, we currently seat around 20 new grads per year across all pathways, and our APC pass rate is currently at 90% – so well above the industry benchmark.
The catalyst for our success is the in-depth, tailored, and structured training programme we provide from the off. In our larger offices this a rotation system so you will spend time in different teams to gain real hands-on practical work experience and high level exposure to senior personnel and clients. You’ll get all the support you could possibly need along the way too. This will arm you with all the best tools and skills to complete your Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) and qualify as a Chartered Surveyor with RICS.

CAN I APPLY?
Our Placement Year scheme is open to students studying a RICS accredited degree in the following subjects, who have the option to complete a sandwich year in the industry between their 2nd and final years of study:
- Real Estate (or similar)
- Building Surveying
We do not offer roles to Placement Years roles to those studying other degree disciplines.
HOW TO APPLY?
If you wish to apply for our Placement Year scheme at ANY office, for Summer 2025, please email earlycareers@lsh.co.uk with the following information:
- Your CV
- Your COVER LETTER
- Your preferred office location(s)
In the email subject field, please clearly state the role you are applying for e.g. Placement Year, Commercial Real Estate, London.
There is no deadline for Placement Year applications as we will be filling vacancies as and when they come up.
WHAT NEXT?
Once we have received your email with your CV and Cover Letter, we will log your details noting your location preference(s). Should a Placement Year vacancy materialise in your preferred location we will shortlist the CVs first and then, if successful, contact you to see if you are still interested in being considered for the role. Your details will then be passed to the relevant hiring manager to arrange an interview.
Our Placement Year positions usually start in July/August and run for 12 months.
Internships & work experience
If you wish to be considered for work experience in the Summer months please email your CV and a short cover letter outlining why you wish to join LSH and what you wish to get out of a placement and any areas of interest in Real Estate to Emma or Mark.
Each summer we offer a number of work experience opportunities from two weeks to two months depending. We don’t have a formal application process but we do try and match an opportunity to a CV where possible. We therefore just ask anyone interest to email us their details and we will be in contact if an opportunity comes up that we think you might like to be considered for.
