Dear All

Monday sees us move to Phase 2 of our unlock roadmap (see attached), making some more of our office space available to people who need to use it.

Available desk space will still be limited to 40% of our safe operating level through this phase, as our plan to unlock remains deliberately cautious for a number of reasons:

  1. The guidance from government is still to work from home where we can and to limit travel
  2. There is still no clear guidance from government around safe re-occupation of office spaces (this is expected at some point before 21st June)
  3. Whilst reported infection numbers and other indicators continue to fall, the overall messaging from government is to take slow steps at this critical point
  4. The key to long term resilience is baked into the success of the vaccination programme, which is ongoing.
  5. We do not want to put our own people or clients in any position of risk of infection by attending our offices.

I therefore ask everyone to continue as you are wherever this is possible and only use our office spaces where there is no other option, and for the shortest time possible where this is required.

By continuing to work together and acting responsibly over the coming few weeks, we can make sure that we protect ourselves and each other.

So, our guidance remains:

  • Work from home where you can
  • If you need to attend an LSH office, plan ahead, book a desk in advance and limit your time in the office to that which is absolutely necessary
  • Only travel – particularly by public transport – when absolutely necessary
  • Continue to follow the hygiene and social distancing guidelines at all times and use outside space wherever possible (Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air)
  • Follow COVID-19 safe operating procedures if you are undertaking client site activities
  • If you develop any symptoms of Covid-19, self-isolate immediately and organise a PCR test.
  • Contact the HR team if you receive a positive Covid-19 test result so that we can support you and take any action that may be necessary.

We will continue to monitor the developing guidance and will update our own procedures as this changes, or as conditions allow.  We are also working closely with our workplace coordinators to ensure we are operating safely within our office spaces.  Please help them in their roles by following our local guidance at all times.

Lateral Flow Testing

You will have seen that the government is opening up the option for everyone to participate in lateral flow testing as a defence mechanism against asymptomatic infection transfer from tomorrow.   We encourage everyone to take part in this where they are comfortable doing so.

Access information on lateral flow testing, including how you order tests, here.

Should you have any immediate questions on our Covid-19 approach, please speak to your line manager or email the HR Team

As always, please stay safe and well.

Kind regards

Chris
