Following a period of significant growth resulting from its rapidly expanding mobile division, Plusnet appointed us to help with its property strategy at its existing Sheffield HQ. The brief was to create a working environment that was reflective of its unique brand identity and accommodate a new 200-person strong call centre.
We produced a detailed feasibility report looking at the efficiency and effectiveness of space utilisation and also provided alternative layouts to increase occupancy levels, including full design for the acquisition of an additional floor.
We then specified and administered the fit out of the new floor and reconfiguration of the existing space, which included the relocation of the 750-strong workforce around the existing accommodation to facilitate the refurbishment of each floor.
Not only did we produce an outstanding transformation of the accommodation to provide a modern stylish workplace fit for a cutting edge tech organisation, we were also able to increase occupancy levels by 20% through the implementation of ‘agile working’ practices.
The 10-month project, which included incorporating a late request from the client for the refurbishment of the existing WC, was delivered on time and within the original budget.
