LSH Ski Challenge returns in 2010 with all eyes focussed on business

LSH Ski Challenge returns in 2010 with all eyes focussed on business

The Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) Ski Challenge, the UK commercial property industry’s premier ski and networking event, is set to return to Courmayeur, Italy, from Thursday 21 January to Sunday 24 January 2010.

For its 23rd year on the slopes, LSH has given strong emphasis to the business element of the event, with its program now including an exclusive ‘Business Forum’ for its clients.

Taking advantage of its flagship event to host the Forum, LSH will be joined in Courmayeur by well-known property entrepreneur Nick Leslau plus one of the world’s greatest polar explorers Robert Swan OBE, to discuss the challenges faced by businesses in today’s economic climate.

On the slopes, the LSH Ski Challenge event has been optimised to allow greater value and flexibility for all attendees. Opening with Thursday’s Welcome Reception at Bar Roma, the racing events will finish with the Award Ceremony ‘on-piste’ on Saturday afternoon, providing a focused platform for networking following the race action.

Ezra Nahome, Chief Executive, said: “Despite the obvious challenges, the success of the 2009 LSH Ski Challenge displayed the true resilience of our industry. Networking in tougher markets has real value and next year's event will ensure that business is high on everyone’s agenda.”

Olympic ski veteran, Konrad Bartelski, is returning for the fourth time to host a Giant Slalom Race Clinic and to provide race commentary during the Sequence Mountain Lunch. Konrad said: “LSH’s event is unique in the way it draws together industry professionals, from all across the UK, with a competitive and friendly atmosphere. I’ve met some great people there over the years and I'm delighted to be back for 2010.”

LSH is also pleased to announce the involvement of Henderson New Star with the introduction of the ‘Henderson New Star Funds and Investors Cup’ - a trophy category that acknowledges the strong support and growing attendance of professionals from this sector.

A new event, the Sparks Charity Dual Slalom, sponsored by law firm Wedlake Bell, will follow the giant slalom race. Registrations open for this event in November and places are limited, so keep tuned to the website for the latest announcements.
