Olympic rowing legends Sir Steve Redgrave and Sir Matthew Pinsent took to the golf course on Wednesday 23 May for the LSH Redgrave Pinsent Golf Classic – the second annual event organised by LSH in aid of charity SPARKS (SPort Aiding medical Research for KidS) and raised a further £21,000 for the charity this year.
The event, held at the scenic Harleyford Golf Club near Marlow, Buckinghamshire, brought together staff and clients from across LSH’s national network.
An array of famous celebrities also teed off, including rugby star Kenny Logan, three-time Olympic medallist Kriss Akabusi, and tough-guy actor Dennis Waterman – all to raise money for the charity. The winning team was Nick Lloyd, of the LSH London Investment team, Ludo McKenzie, of Henderson, Andrew Cobden, of Antler, and John Taylor, former 1971 British Lion and ITV’s expert commentator for this year’s Rugby World Cup.
Nick and the team beat 24 rivals to clinch the Lambert Smith Hampton Redgrave Pinsent Golf Classic Cup, a new addition for the event, and signed by the rowing duo.
