Commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has raised £4,500 for the ‘Pandalance’ Ambulance, a special ambulance operated by the West Midlands Ambulance Service, which transports sick and terminally ill children for treatment, named after its distinctive black and white livery.
The ‘Pandalance’ is a fully equipped working ambulance, fitted with brightly coloured yellow upholstery and filled with toys, books, a karaoke machine, and a DVD player, all to keep children amused during a journey to hospital and to prevent them from being frightened.
LSH presented a cheque at Aston Villa’s football ground to four year old Alex Ward, and his mother Mandy, who use the Pandalance service.
“It is important to us as a Midlands’ business to work with charities which serve the communities in which we are active. Pandalance provides a vital service, which we felt could benefit from our support,” said Stephen Richards, Director at LSH.
