Building consultancy team project manages refurbishment of Baker Tilly Accountants’ offices
Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) worked with Baker Tilly Accountants to facilitate a phased refurbishment of its office premises, with minimum disruption to staff.
Baker Tilly Accountants
- Baker Tilly Accountants occupies circa 16,500 sq ft of office space at The Clock House in Guildford.
- The company wanted to replace a defective suspended ceiling and outdated lighting, and overhaul the air conditioning systems, with minimum disruption to its 150+ staff that work in the building.
- LSH’s Building Consultancy team project managed a phased £325,000 refurbishment of the building, which involved moving staff into different wings of the building on a temporary basis.
- Client-facing meeting rooms were reconfigured and upgraded, with silicone-jointed glazed partitioning to provide facilities that reflect the firm’s dynamic corporate values.
- Staff at Baker Tilly are happier in their brighter and more comfortable working environment.
- LSH looked beyond the original brief, which was to fix problems with the suspended ceiling. LSH identified it was prudent to resolve important issues with the lighting and air conditioning as part of the same package of works - to avoid additional disruption at a later date.
