Lambert Smith Hampton joins Countrywide plc, the UK’s largest integrated Property Services Group and a FTSE 250 company with a market capitalisation in excess of £1bn.

2007
Lambert Smith Hampton completes management buyout

Lambert Smith Hampton completes a management buyout from parent company, Atkins.

Now an independent business, we are wholly focused on providing commercial property consultancy services.

2006
Our growth continues in Wales and Hampshire

Lambert Smith Hampton acquires Swansea-based agency Poolman Harlow. We also buy Young & Butt, the largest independent firm of surveyors and commercial property consultants on the South Coast.

1999
Lambert Smith Hampton bought by Atkins

Lambert Smith Hampton is bought by the WS Atkins Group plc – one of the world’s major suppliers of services to the built environment.

1996
Merger with Herring Baker Harris

Lambert Smith Hampton merges with Herring Baker Harris. It’s a move that further expands our regional coverage.

1995
Merger with Connell Wilson

We merge with Connell Wilson to create one of the largest commercial property consultancies in the UK.

1990
LSH is incorporated

Lambert Smith Hampton is incorporated as a business.

1980s
Ten into one: we emerge from an amalgamation of 10 regional surveying partnerships

Lambert Smith Hampton as we know it today is born out of a series of mergers and acquisitions between 10 leading regional surveying partnerships.

Now offering auctioning, surveying and more

The business now describes itself as ‘auctioneers, estate agents, surveyors, upholsterers and decorators’. Then, as now, here is a business that offers a comprehensive range of commercial property services to its clients.

We are founded – and make our first sale

The earliest incarnation of Lambert Smith Hampton is founded by Robert Herring. The company posts its first sale on 1 April; it’s published in the London Daily Advertiser.
